《零星的幾何》

碎化的日常如零星一般散在那。在現代社會中，關於生命中不斷重疊、抵消、交揉、並排、濃縮、稀釋的生活寫照，那包含了一個隨時處於動盪的時空中，人作為不斷漂流的個體，在各種遷移中相互牴觸又相互交融的狀態。而我透過重複、序列的形式語言，破碎作為動作將日常斷開為片斷，試圖在片斷之間的空隙，遁入另一個空間維度，以幾何作為一個模擬維度來回看我與生活經驗、環境的關係。

<Fragmented Geometry>

Fragmented daily life was scattered everywhere. In modern society, there is a portrayal of life which is overlapped, against, mixed, condensed, diluted. At the same time it also contains a condition in which people as a drifting individuality separate, but also mix with each other in the age of chaos. What I do is trying to cut the daily life into fragments with repeating and array form and fly into another geometric space dimension as a simulation to look back the life experience and the relationships in the environment.

《失神餘廓》

一個形體的輪廓也可以說是一個包含著空間的外緣，除了單純地指涉某一形體，具有鮮明的形象之外，在更抽象的空間場域上，是否也隱含著某種特定氛圍的囊括？如果我們談及一個空間的輪廓，或許就不單單地只是描述它的外型與間隔，而是一定程度地包含著其內在的氛圍或是整體的調性。在我的作品中，所有的形體，即便是人像的造型，都是圍繞著一個內在的空間而建構開展的，透過將撿拾來的材料相互拼接，像是一片木板、一塊泥磚、一根鐵管或是一個泥仿的眼神，共同匡限起各種幽暗的空間與細碎的角落，其所喚起的，可能是觀者在過往某一時空中，所經驗的身體感知，或是某種的記憶片段的複合體，相對於我所賦予雕塑的部分形象，形成一種相互消解與共構的狀態，一個凝鍊於特定時刻的曖昧輪廓。我著迷於那些殘缺的輪廓中所透露的話語；通過空間或是形象中不同局部的暗示，有時反倒能夠傳遞出更為深刻、完滿的意象，一個更為貼近於真實的指向。雕塑的創作對我來說，則是試圖在那些散亂的輪廓中找尋最為真切的暗示，一種如何在毀壞的形體之中捕捉精神的技術。

<Diffuse Contours>

In some way, a contour of a form is equivalent to an outline of a space. While contour can reference its content, it also possesses the potential to bring together a certain atmosphere of a place in a more abstract, spatial dimension. When we talk about a space's outline, it may not simply be regarding its shape or spacing, but also, to some extent, involve internal vibrations and a sort of aura in its entity. In my sculptures, every form, even of figurative expressions, is based on the expansion of inner spatial structures. By means of interlacing and collaging the elements collected on the street or from abandoned places, such as a plank of wood, a piece of brick, a stick of metal pole, or a glimpse of eyes, these tangible and intangible objects line up and constitute a dimension where vague spaces and fragmented corners emerge per se. It evokes a previous sensorial experience, an aggregation of memory pieces within the viewer, generating a dynamism between constructing and deconstructing - a diffuse contour frozen in a crevice of time. I am fascinated by the whispers in-between fractional contours as well as the implication transmitted by the discrete parts of space and imagery. With its own incompletion, it enables the communication of a rather profound and complete image, and an orientation closer to the reality. From my perspective, sculpture is a tool to search the most precise connotation in this shattered world - it is a skill harnessed to capturing the spirits inside especially the demolished organisms.

張嘉珍

1991年出生於台灣嘉義，目前就讀於國立臺北藝術大學美術系碩士班。 近年作品以現成物、綜合材料為主要創作媒材，透過幾何架構的組合與裝置為主的方式，裝載關於生活境遇中的自語，如化身般於自身與場域之間來回。

CHIA-CHEN CHANG was born in 1991 in Chia-Yi, Taiwan. She is now studying in Fine Arts M.F.A. from the Taipei National University of Arts. Her main focus is on mixed media installations. Most of her recent artworks spring from life experiences, in which she is taking self-language contained in life circumstances via combination and installation of geometric structures. Constantly pacing back and forth between oneself and field like the avatar.
